The Adventure Travel Institute offers Spanish classes in Lake Tahoe, CA and a variety of language, culture, and adventure travel experiences throughout Mexico.
Spanish Classes
Our Spanish classes are offered at all levels, from beginner
to advanced, in the fall, winter, and spring semesters.
The Fall and Winter semesters include twelve weeks of class
with a two-week vacation built into the schedule. Spring
is a short six-week semester.
Trips to Mexico
We've spent years seeking out the hidden gems of Mexico's colonial
interior. Most of the exotic places we visit can't be found
in the guidebooks. Journey with us to a remote untrampled
corner of Latin America. Our trips are relaxed, rewarding
journeys by small groups into little-known areas of great
beauty and cultural interest. Tourists are rare, the sun
is warm, and the people are friendly. Our colonial hotels
are surprisingly comfortable considering their remote locations--
and the traditional Mexican food is superb. Stroll along
the ancient cobblestone streets. Browse the exquisite craft
markets. Absorb the raw natural beauty of the volcanic highlands
and tropical slope, and live the history and culture of
the delightful people of this unique region.

Your pricipal guide and instructor is Henry Wilds, the founder of the Adventure Travel Institute. A U.C. Berkeley- educated specialist in Latin America, Henry has taught college Spanish, Hispanic Culture, and Geography. He has led adventure travel groups to Michoacan for over 20 years.
